Little Egg Harbor , Tuckerton, Eagleswood

Three municipalities at the southernmost tip of Ocean County are working to hold on to a common heritage and a small town way of life that no longer exists in many places in New Jersey. Tuckerton Borough , Eagleswood and Little Egg Harbor Township s are bordered by the bay on one side and the Pine Barrens on the other.  Good schools, a variety of recreational opportunities, including hunting, camping, hiking, boating, crabbing, clamming, fishing, are among reasons so many find a lot to like here.  Our pristine water ways lead to an uncrowded inlet and offer easy access to the GreatBay and Atlantic Ocean 

Located just 30 miles north of Atlantic City , and a convenient fifteen-minute drive to the famous JerseyShore beaches of Long Beach Island . This southern part of OceanCounty features the following waterfront communities of TuckertonBeach, MysticIsland, and OsborneIsland. We have several Active adult communities:  SunriseBay, Cranberry Creek, MysticShores and Sea Oaks, and boast two golf courses, Atlantis and Sea Oaks.  Since 2001 several developments have been built, HollyLake, Winding Run, Hartley Estates, and Waters Edge.

An area rich in history many homes in Tuckerton date back to the early 1800’s with sea captains as their original owners.  The J.D. Thompson Inn is a great Bed and Breakfast dating back to the 1820’s and was a tavern and stage coach stop. Both Eagleswood and Tuckerton offer a town center with paver sidewalks and quaint shops.  Just about any easterly turn off of Rt. 9 will take you to the bay, with marinas, restaurants and the meadows just waiting for you to discover.  So filled with Marine life, water fowl and wildlife, that Rutgers State University has a marine field station that is linked with the Jacques Cousteau National Research Reserve located down Great Bay Blvd. known to the locals as Seven Bridges Road.
